Ian Finlay has always loved art and it has been an integral part of his life since he could hold a crayon.
Previously a professional sailor racing yachts around the world, much of his work depicts yachts calmly at anchor or powered under sail. He paints a wide range of subjects in oil, watercolour and pencil both speculatively and to commission. Many of his paintings are held in corporate and private collections across the world including Australia, France, Ireland, Italy, Russia, the United States and the United Kingdom.
