Dana Sunari is from Ubud, the cultural heartland of Bali. Dana and his brother I Wayan Gabrig were taught to paint at an early age by their father. Dana soon developed his own eclectic style, sometimes echoing the traditional Balinese Sanur style but often more expressive and narrative. Influenced by nature and the sea Dana works in oil and acrylic.
